Hungarian Terran invested EUR 5 million in plant in Campia Turzii

Roofing systems producer Terran invested EUR 5 million in a concrete tiles plant located in Campia Turzii (Cluj district).

The company owns another three factories in Hungary and Slovakia. The first Terran plant in Romania was built on a land plot ocuppied before by Industria Sarmei Campia Turzii factory and its production is destinated to romanian market in a first phase.

The new plant has a 2,500 sqm, a 1.5 hectares storage platform, a a capacity of 70 tiles a minute and can produce 10 million tiles a year.

“We have been in Romania since 2005, and the very good sales, as well as the size of the market here, have been decisive factors for building a factory in Romania. The investment started in 2016, with the acquisition of the land, and this year in the spring we began production tests. Next year, we continue to invest in expanding production capacity, “said Gódi Attila, general manager of Terran.

Founded in 1920, Terran is owned from three generations ago ny Mészáros Vilmos family. With the headquarters in Boli, Hungary, Terran has four production capacities in Hungary, Slovakia and Romania.
