Enel Distributie finishes network upgrade works worth RON 2 mln in Giurgiu

Enel Distributie has  finished modernization works for its  network in Giurgiu valued at RON 2 million, as part of the investments strategy for 2016, in the January-June period.

The investment targeted both the low and medium intensity network. Currently over 1,000 customers from Copaciu, Uzunu and Anghelesti benefit from a high comfort and more security in electricity supply.

The finished works overpass RON 2 million and are part of a greater modernization program of the Giurgiu network. Within the process, over 19,000 linear meters of cable were replaced and over 400 measurement and protection groups were installed.

In Copaciu the low and medium intensity network, as well as the branches pipes were entirely integrated and the measurement tools were installed in exterior. In Uzunu the works at the transformation gate were finished, together with the modernization of the low intensity network.

Through the intelligent registration system, the remote readings of the electricity will be realized, but also commercial operations such as tariffs changes, connections and disconnections, increasing the customers’ comfort and reducing the home visit inconveniences.

Currently, in Giurgiu, the company has completed modernization works in 4 localities. These are a part of an investment project made by Enel in Romania that aims to improve the services quality, the network modernization and local implementation of environment standards of Enel.
