Nature returns to Venice: dolphins and swans are occupying the Venetian channels

While Italy is under lockdown to fight the spread of COVID–19, which has killed thousands in the country and with the canals in Venice empty of its usual boat traffic, photos on social media show clear waters and the return of wildlife: dolphins, visible fish in the waters and swans.

 “Nature just hit the reset button,” an observer quoted by international press summed it up.

 

Although it’s an online dispute if the dolphins were seen in Venice or not – swans and fish are present. Less pollution brought back nature to the laguna.
