Ikea’s searching for 350 employees for the new store in East Bucharest

Furniture retailer Ikea is searching for 350 employees for the new store in Bucharest, located in the Eastern part of the city on Theodor Pallady Boulevard.

The 37,000 sqm store will be opened at the end of this summer following a total investment of euro 80 million.

Ikea has available positions in home furnishings sales, interior design/visual merchandising, customer relations and shopping experience, cashiers, facility management, warehouse receiving, stock replenishment, child play area supervision and food service opportunities in its Customers’ Restaurant, Swedish Food Market, Bistro and Co-workers’ Restaurant.

The package offered by the company includes medical subscription to a private clinic, life insurance, subsidized staff meals, monthly subsidy for limited transport expenses, yearly holidays bonus, additional vacation leave days, among others.

After the Pallady store, in the years to come, Ikea will also enter provincial cities, with Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara and Brasov being targeted.

The first Ikea store opened in Romania in the Baneasa Commercial Zone in 2007.
