The Romanian Olympic Comittee is reserved about the odds for our athletes to come home with a medal, and in return they are happy with placements in the top 10.
“A Romanian athlete’s placement in the Top 10 would be the equivalent of a medal for us, and a placement in the Top 20 would be a remarkable performance, if we take in account the state of winter sports in Romania”, according to Ioan Dobrescu, secretary general of the Olympic Committee.
The 2014 Winter Olympics will take place in Sochi, Russia, between February 7 and February 23, 2014.
