Vertu fishing for big brand area to open store

A Vertu store can have one or two levels and typically measures up to 100 sqm with prices depending very much on the country in which the boutique is opened.
Joost said, “Currently we are just trying to find our feet in Romania” since this is a country that is new and there is the need for a period of adjustment. Vertu has recently opened locations in several European cities including Sofia, the Bulgarian capital. Joost said that Romania was three times bigger than Bulgaria as far as the luxury market was concerned and this makes it a good market. He also added that this market is actually three times bigger than what Vertu has seen until now in Romania.Until the store is opened, the terminals will be sold through Cellini and The Place Concept Store. According to media reports, by the end of June Vertu had already sold 35 percent of its target for this year, 80 handsets (in three months since it was launched). This year, Vertu aims to sell over 220 handsets with prices between EUR 3,900 and EUR 100,000 which are made from materials such as gold, platinum, diamond and sapphire.
