Flatley, who insured his legs for the astounding sum of EUR 40 million, no longer performs in the show but is the producer, and in this capacity he may accompany the dance company to Bucharest. Since its premiere in Dublin in 1996, Lord of the Dance has been the biggest dance show ever, and there are currently ongoing negotiations to stage it on Broadway. The show has been performed in Europe, China, Russia, the United States, Canada, Latin America and Australia, with a record audience of 50 million people from 40 countries.
Tickets cost between RON 100 and 350, depending on their position in relation to the stage.
