The Devil Inside, a thriller shot in Romania, tops North American box office

The thriller The Devil Inside, which was partially shot in Romania and with a cast that includes Romanian actors, topped the North American box-office in the first week-end since its release in the United States and Canada, according to AFP.

 The Devil Inside tells the story of a young woman who is trying to exorcise her mother who is possessed by four demons. The film cashed in USD 34.5 million.

 The film was partially shot in Romania and has a cast that includes Romanian actors Ionuţ Cristian Grama and Marius Silviu Florian.

 The Devil Inside was followed in the box-office by the fourth sequel in the Mission Impossible series, which cashed USD 20.5 million.

 On the third place there was Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, for which viewers paid in total USD 14.1 million.
