Romanian short movie gets Golden Bear in Berlin Film Fest

The film tells the story of three young delinquents who sequester a van driver and a prostitute and take them to a beach. The actors were selected from a juvenile prison and orphanages in Bucharest.
Mustata's short movie beat ten other films to the prize. The Silver Bear was awarded to the short movie “Udedh bun” by Indian director Siddharth Sinha.
Mitulescu is no stranger to international film festivals. His movie “The Way I Spent the End of the World” competed in the Cannes Film Festival in 2006 when lead actress Dorotheea Petre was awarded the prize for best actress in the Un Certain Regard section. The movie was well received internationally, and enjoyed the support of US director Martin Scorsese as executive producer.
