Picture exhibition showcases the importance of anti-smoking messages

The exhibition consists of photographs of the visual warnings selected to be posted on the cigarette packs. There are also images that will be used by the European Union member states as well as photographs currently used by countries all over the world such as Canada, Singapore, Brazil, Australia and Thailand.
The exhibition was inaugurated with the aim of placing focus on the importance that proper warnings and strong images can have in the battle against tobacco. It was organized at the initiative of the European Association of the Anti-Cancer Leagues with the support of the pharmaceutical company Pfizer.
In Romania the partners of the event are the Federation of the Association of Cancer Patients, the center for Independent Journalism and the Health Ministry.
Apart from Romania, similar events were also organized in other countries such as Belgium, Ireland, Austria, Slovenia, Portugal and Switzerland.
