Over 6,000 people attended Banii Tai Expo by BVB

On May 27-28, Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) organized the second edition of Banii Tăi Expo, one of the biggest events of financial education dedicated to individual investors. The participants who visited the exhibition in Piața Universității had the chance to discuss with the partners and exhibitioners,  to follow the interviews at the place of event and to attend the seminar. The total number was around 6, 000 persons.

According to Ludwik Sobolewski, general director of the BVB, after a few months of organizing this campaign dedicated to potential individual investors from Romania, he concluded that “in the future we will raise the number and intensity of our projects that are supported by financial institutions , decision factors, regulators and press who transmit the idea of fight against the low level of financial education of population.”

During thet two days, over 5,000 brochures with information about the exhibition and over 4,000 copies of financial education guide “Fluent in finance” were distributed.  The educational seminars were this time an important part of the exhibition with 778 persons registered to over 20 different seminars held in both days by financial specialists and top practitioners.

Also, Silvia Buicanu, the general director of the Central Depositary declared that during these two days, “the Central Depositary stand was visited by a number of 1200 visitors. For 960 of these, the Central Depositary checked the data base in order to find out what financial instruments they own. Moreover, here the Romanian citizens can find information regarding their dividends as a result of their owned shares. Those who want to increase their financial instruments deposits or to inform about financial instruments transactions, can ask one of the authorized intermediaries who take part in the Central Depositary and the Bucharest Stock Exchange, their list being available on the internet pages of both institutions”.
