Greek premium furniture company Neoset has relaunched local operations by opening a 600 sqm showroom in Bucharest’s Pipera neighborhood, following a EUR 200,000 investment, the company has announced.
Neoset runs 4 stores in Romania located in Bucharest, Timisoara, Constanta and Pitesti and says it wants to take its network to 10 outlets over the next years.
“We believe in Romania and we will continue to invest in this country in order to consolidate our presence and open larger stores in the future,” said Serafim Palikaras, general manager of Neoset Group.
Neoset entered the Romanian market in 1991 and has since invested locally EUR 15 million, the company says. In 2009 it opened a sofa factory near Bucharest from where it exports to its stores in Greece,Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Ecuador and Ethiopia.
The Romanian furniture market has been on a downward trend over the past years and will most likely finish 2012 below the EUR 928 million level reported in 2011.
