“This is a first for me. I've never extended a tour before. I'm excited to be going back on the road, visiting places I've never been and returning to places I love,” commented Madonna about the new run of dates, on her official site.
Special guest for Sticky & Sweet 2009 will be Grammy nominee Paul Oakenfold, who entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the top DJ in the world. Oakenfold will be the opening act for all the shows in Madonna's tour this year.
Sticky & Sweet is already the highest-grossing tour in history for a solo artist. In 2008, the tour was seen by over 2 million fans in 58 cities.
