Former EU commissioner Leonard Orban and lawyer Gabriel Biris, through SCPA Biris Goran, launched the EU affairs consultancy firm Orban Biris European Consultants.
The firm is offering consultancy services in EU affairs and EU funds related matters.
According to representatives of the firm, the consultancy aims to support market players in promoting their interest towards legislative projects under debate in Brussels or at a national level. At the same time, the firm is set to provide assistance to national authorities looking to identify public policies supporting specific economic needs.
The firm will also target companies in need of assistance with overcoming various issues related to ongoing EU-financed projects while focusing on identifying the elements that can support the country’s access to its next allotted EU funds.
Leonard Orban served as the Commissioner for Multilingualism in the European Commission, the executive body of the European Union (EU) between 2007 and 2010. He was responsible for the EU language policy and was the first Romanian Commissioner and the first member of the Commission whose portfolio is exclusively multilingualism.
Law firm Biris Goran has a team of over 30 lawyers and fiscal consultants. It provides services on fiscal issues, real estate, corporate, competition, banking and energy law.
