A significant aspect of the evolution of commercial exchanges between The UK and Romania is the 50% growth in imports, a total of GBP 933 millions accounting for 3.7 % of the total Romanian exports and 5.1% of Romanian exports to the EU. UK is on the 5th position in the top of Romania’s export partners in the EU, list headed by Germany, Italy and France.

UK Exports to Romania are based on machinery & electrical equipment, textiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, road vehicles and telecoms while Romanian exports to UK are mainly textiles / clothing, machinery & electrical equipment, power generation equipment, furniture and metal products.

On what concerns the investments, British businesspeople have expressed  their interest on key areas like infrastructure – water-supply, environment protection, maritime ports, railway stations – financial services, energy, including renewable, and environment protection.

This networking breakfast will bring together chamber of commerce representatives, members of the British business community representing top investors in Romania and Romanian business people to discuss the challenges they have to overcome on an economic downturn.
