AmCham Romania has launched a guide outlining several anti-corruption principles meant to help prevent bribe giving and corruption. Titled “AmCham Romania’s Anti-corruption Principles,” the guide is also meant to serve in increasing the efficiency of the anti-corruption methods used by companies in Romania.
“Companies and professional organizations worldwide are reporting significant progress in preventing bribe and fighting corruption in the business environment. AmCham Romania comes with a pro-active approach on fighting these practices and aims to support both state and private companies with this guide,” said Sorin Mindrutescu, president of AmCham Romania.
The guide is based on international documents and best-practices examples and includes key principles and recommendations and advice on how to implement anti-corruption practices. The guide covers area such as employment/recruitment, sponsorship, partnerships and contractors, travel and gift expenses, political contributions, public acquisitions.
The guide will be distributed to the over 300 AmCham member companies.
