The changes in the labor market that appeared with the pandemic and the work from home or hybrid system in the last year and a half have increased the need for additional investments in an optimal working and living space. The concern for safer spaces for health has made air conditioning and air purification systems reach the top of Romanians’ purchasing preferences, due to the many advantages they offer and especially for advanced, sustainable, energy efficient and technologies that positively influence indoor air quality.

Unlike in previous years, price is no longer the main factor in choosing air purification equipment, say experts at Daikin, the world’s leading air conditioner manufacturer. Customers are now looking for compact and lightweight devices with a design that is easy to integrate into any type of interior concept. In addition, they are geared towards appliances equipped with innovative air purification technologies, while emphasizing quiet operation and high energy efficiency. Thanks to the special sensors that detect the level of air pollutants, Daikin air purifiers are activated and switched off automatically as needed, while the programmers allow the setting of automatic air purification.

As homes and also offices, shops, waiting rooms or medical offices can contain a level of pollutants five times higher than that of the outside air, Daikin air purifiers ensure the cleaning of the air inside, circulating it through the unit and allowing air to pass through several filters and purification technologies. The airflow of a Daikin air purifier is about 330 m³/hour, which means that the air volume of an average room passes through the unit several times an hour.

To ensure the best indoor air quality, Daikin units are equipped with air purification filters and have a high deodorizing efficiency – they remove cigarette smoke, while decomposing other odors. Flash Streamer technology neutralizes viruses, mold, bacteria, allergens and hazardous chemicals by breaking down and fragmenting surface proteins, which are then destroyed by oxidation, making the viruses harmless. The new purifiers are also equipped with a HEPA air filter that removes 99.97% of fine particles of dust, pollution and other allergens and has a lifespan of 10 years.

“We notice a change in Romanians’ preferences towards high-end products, with advanced functions, which bring them more comfort at home, which is also seen in the growing sales in this market segment. Through everything we do, we want to offer all Romanians air purification solutions suitable for their home, in a premium experience, both when purchasing a product and in their interaction throughout the life of the equipment, and the launch of its own store online is another solid step we have recently taken in this direction. Thus, we offer our customers integrated sales services, such as digital consulting, fast installation provided by professionals, transparent costs, extended warranty, free shipping and permanent after-sales support for products for air conditioning and indoor air quality, which means that they are they can enjoy the best air quality in their home in the shortest time “, says Daniel Vasile, Managing Director of Daikin Romania.

The new online platform, which provides air purifiers as well as air conditioners to residential end-users, includes a smart product configurator that users can use to correctly choose the right equipment for their intended space and all compatible accessories, depending on indicators such as surface area or insulation type.

Daikin air purifiers are an additional measure in the fight against respiratory diseases

Moreover, laboratory tests carried out at the renowned Institut Pasteur in Lille confirm that Daikin air purifiers remove over 99.98% of the human coronavirus HCoV-229E in 2.5 minutes, which is part of the same family as SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic. The devices were also evaluated as having an efficiency of 99.93% and against the H1N1 virus in 2.5 minutes, thus being very efficient in fighting the flu.

Therefore, Daikin air purifiers are an additional measure in the fight against respiratory diseases. Compact plug-and-play purifiers, such as MC55W, whose efficiency is achieved using a combination of high-performance electrostatic HEPA filter that captures fine particles from the air, along with Daikin’s patented Flash Streamer technology that kills viruses and bacteria, contributes substantially to reducing the risk of transmitting the virus affecting the respiratory system. Also, the quiet operation makes the purifier can be used at night, and the Child lock function prevents improper operation of the air purifier by children.

Comfort is not only determined by the quality of the indoor air, but also by the degree of humidity, and the MCK55W purifier, for example, also has the humidification function to maintain an optimal ratio of humidity and protection against viruses. Daikin air purifiers also allow for scheduled use, and sophisticated yet easy-to-use controls allow for airflow and humidity control.

“As a specialist in air quality management, Daikin has been committed to providing innovative solutions and marketing air purifiers for over 45 years. The products and patented Flash Streamer air purification technology used in other Daikin equipment have proven their effectiveness against air pollution, as well as seasonal pollen and viruses. Thanks to the continuous innovation in increasing the levels of comfort, energy efficiency, control and reliability, we define the quality landmarks in the industry”, concludes Daniel Vasile, Managing Director of Daikin Romania.
