DIGI wireless and wired telecom services have exceeded the threshold of 3 million ported phone numbers, since October 2008, when the portability service was released in Romania, until 31st July 2021, according to the statistics communicated by the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications of Romania (ANCOM/ portabilitate.ro) and processed by the company. During this period, in the telecom market, there were ported approximately 7.92 million fixed and mobile phone numbers.

DIGI is the very first option for customers who want to change their fixed and mobile service operator. With 3,000,196 ported phone numbers, the company is the indisputable leader of this segment. The mobile network attracted more than 2,690,323 existing users from the competitors and, at the same time, the fixed one exceeded 309,873 numbers that switched to DIGI network. In July, DIGI registered 44,763 ported mobile phone numbers and 2,186 ported fixed phone numbers. Since the beginning of the year and until the end of July, the telecom operator has exceeded 315,367 ported mobile numbers and 19,665 ported fixed phone numbers. Compared to the same period in 2020 (January-July), DIGI attracted 56% more fixed and mobile phone numbers and 57% more mobile phone numbers than in the first seven months of the previous year, which illustrates a rate that exceeds the market trend (+ 40% in January-July 2021 vs. 2020).

In 2020 DIGI has became the leader of fixed telecom services in Romania, with a market share of 39%, according to the data provided by ANCOM, while in the mobile telecom services segment DIGI is the third operator, as far as the voice and mobile data traffic is concerned (16% market share for voice traffic and 20% market share for mobile data traffic).
