Stickr, an app developed in Romania, is a new social media platform with a unique code that only allows users to post owned content, automatically certifying the location and timing of the photos or videos posted by using satellite geolocation and placing all posts on a 3D map of the world.

One month after launching the iOS version Stickr was nominated at Best App category at Webstock and now the founders say they are ready to scale up.

With 0 budget for media & communication, in just 6 months, Stickr gained organically, users from 17 countries worldwide. Romania and USA are top members in the community, all enjoying the new environment AD-free, with feed generated randomly, with no AI or suggested, assuring a clean inspirational experience.

“Soon after Android launch in December, we have consolidate our own imposed MVP,  we have decided to start develop the next tech stage for the app. Meaning our plan is to further reinforce the authentic feature, which is the core of Stickr DNA, and in one year we hope to have blockchain technology integrated. This is just a first step for our bigger plans. We wanted to see the product and its philosophy come to life as we have designed the idea, this is why, by now all dev & ops have been financed by own resources. At this stage, as we validated the entire framework, we have initiated and also received invitations for a first round of investment, for which we are preparing this month” states Mihnea Diaconu, co-founder Stickr.

“Looking at the current international context and dramatic turn of events, which follows the 2 years overloaded with information and heavy emotions, time to market for Stickr app is now more than ever. If one just looks at the tsunami of fake news in which for everybody is hard to tell what is real, we have a strong case. Just a simple example, in Stickr one cannot post a CGI made video, or cannot post a video and state that the video is in another location, because simply the code will not allow the post.” adds Bogdan Castaliu, co-founder Stickr.

The first round of investment this year will consolidate Stickr core concept, authenticity through blockchain, and add new features based also on blockchain technology, that will build the path for a user experience valid in the next 20 years.

At this moment the Co-Founders had opening talks with investors from USA, UK and Romania, but the team is open to new opportunities and will discuss in-depth so that a final agreement is signed with a solid partner to assure future global expansion.
