Logiscool Romania, the programming school for children aged 7 to 17, expands its franchise system in Romania and aims to develop its network with 20 new schools by the end of 2021, of which 12 are already underway. More than 4,000 students will be able to learn programming and strengthen their digital skills in the 20 new schools. So far, approximately 20,000 students have attended Logiscool Romania’s classes in its over 3 years of presence in the local market.

Part of an international network of programming schools for children and adolescents, world leading in the edu-tech segment, Logiscool has expanded rapidly internationally, reaching over 110 locations in 19 countries in Europe, Asia and America. In Romania, Logiscool has already opened 40 franchise educational centers and ranks, alongside Hungary, the country of origin, among the top countries with the greatest interest in digital literacy for children.

Logiscool Romania aims to provide access to digitalization to all children and adolescents, planning to open another 20 schools by the end of 2021 to strengthen its national coverage. The territories where the school is looking for franchise partners are cities like Adjud, Alexandria, Barlad, Bistrita, Botosani, Bucharest, Caransebes, Curtea de Arges, Fagaras, Focsani, Giurgiu, Mangalia, Medgidia, Medias, Miercurea Ciuc, Onesti, Otopeni. Pascani, Piatra Neamt, Reghin, Roman, Satu Mare, Sfantu Gheorghe, Sighisoara, Sighetu Marmatiei, Slobozia, Targoviste, Tecuci, Targu Secuiesc, Vaslui, Vatra Dornei and Zalau.

“The success recorded in 2020, when the number of students who attended Logiscool Romania classes increased by 25%, showed us that the children’s interest in developing digital skills is constantly growing and motivated us to continue our development plans. The pandemic has confirmed that the acquisition of this knowledge is no longer useful only to those who want a career in a technical field, but it is necessary for all and, therefore, we want to offer a chance for digital training for the future to as many children and adolescents as possible”, says Indira Abdulvoap, Logiscool Romania General Manager.

Opening a Logiscool franchise, a sustainable business in the post-pandemic context

The demand for programming and digital literacy classes has increased in recent years, due to the need to create a labor market adapted to digitalization, generating a growing interest for franchises in education. Logiscool’s business model is sustainable even in an atypical context such as the one created by the Covid-19 pandemic. Classes take place both in educational centers and remote, through the school’s own online learning platform that ensures access to classes to children from all over the country.

Anyone can open a Logiscool franchise, contributing to the digital literacy of children in the communities they are part of and creating a real impact while developing their own business. The system equips partners with all the elements and knowledge necessary to open a school, including management consultancy and support for business development.

Opening a Logiscool center entails an investment between 4,950 and 15,000 euros for the franchise, depending on the size of the territory covered, to which the costs of setting up and opening the school are added, ranging between 10,000 and 25,000 euros. The return of investment in a Logiscool franchise can be obtained in 12 to 18 months.

The steps to become a Logiscool partner are filling out a form on the Logiscool website, presenting the motivation in a meeting with school representatives, adapting the business plan to the local community, after a market study guided by Logiscool analysts, signing the franchise contract and opening the school.

“We’ve been looking for business ideas for a while. We decided to look for a franchise, because having no experience in entrepreneurship we felt that a franchise will ensure our success through the know-how that comes with it. Logiscool is the business that convinced us that it is worth investing all our savings, without being afraid, because it combines working with children, programming and a happy and pleasant work environment”, says Teo Olteanu, Logiscool Cluj partner.

In addition to learning opportunities for children, Logiscool educational centers also contribute to the creation of jobs for young professionals who are passionate about programming, robotics and the digital world in general. Between 4 and 15 trainers with programming skills and knowledge and skills in working with children can work in each school.

“For us, the expansion of the Logiscool franchise network also means the contribution we make to the development of human resources for a labor market of the future, with trained employees, both technically and in terms of adaptability and teamwork skills. Our ever-evolving curriculum includes programming and robotics classes designed to develop students’ technical as well as human skills. We want to attract partners with common values and we are happy to offer future trainers a teaching context adapted to current times”, adds Indira Abdulvoap, Logiscool Romania General Manager.

In addition to programming classes that represent the basis of the curriculum, Logiscool Romania offers students workshops adapted to the latest trends, such as 3D Design, App Creation, Digital Illustration and Minecraft Modding, offering students the opportunity to develop new skills, both technical and creative.
