First e-PARK in Europe: Moldova Innovation Technology Park

The Government of Moldova launched MITP at the beginning of 2018 as an innovative platform with a single 7% tax, committed to developing Moldova’s tech ecosystem and enhancing its regional competitiveness. Park residents have been offered simplified immigration procedures (IT Visa Program), reduced bureaucratic barriers, and a virtual presence.

MITP is the central access point to the best services and incentives in the IT sector. MITP has proven its uniqueness by being a virtual structure operating under a multi-stakeholder governance model.

MITP’s mission is to act as a catalyst for IT sector investments by promoting flexible government policies, fostering a favorable environment for ICT (Information and Communication Technology) innovation, and driving the digital transformation of the economy through a strong IT sector that can open up opportunities. Created for a period of 20 years, the park hosts over 1800 active residents, more than 250 of which are foreign capital companies from over 40 countries. Resident companies generate 21,700 jobs with an average monthly salary of 41,000 MDL and an annual turnover of over 12.4 billion MDL.
