Bento, Intellectually Curious, a Romanian entrepreneurial company listed on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, specialized in the development and implementation of software solutions and the provision of IT and Cloud infrastructure services, targets operating revenues of 46.7 million lei in 2023, a 32% increase compared to 2022, EBITDA of 11.8 million lei, a 70% increase and a net profit of 9.3 million lei, a 65% appreciation.

In 2023, the company targets to increase the number of new clients and recurring contracts, continue to develop its products and consolidate its partnerships with global players in the field.

The 2023 revenue and expense budget is planned prudently, considering predominantly projects we already have in execution. However, we have other projects in the pipeline which can positively influence the budget. Still, we prefer to submit for the approval of the shareholders a budget, which we are sure we can achieve. At the same time, in 2023 and the following years, we will continue to develop our products, such as Bento FSM or Bento MDM, by introducing complementary modules and adapting the systems to serve new business verticals. One of Bento’s differentiators is that we have two complementary divisions, “Software Development” and “IT, Infrastructure, and Cloud”, through which we can provide integrated services. We are also one of the few IT companies in Romania that develop their own software products and probably the only one that develops a system aimed at the management of the workforce in the field, a niche in which we have specialized for more than 12 years,” stated Radu Scarlat, Chairman of Bento’s Board of Directors.

Bento estimates that an important role in the expected result for 2023 will be played by the financing project won under the Competitiveness Operational Program (POC 2014-2020), which has a total value of 25 million lei, of which 15 million lei represent non-refundable funds. This project will contribute approximately 14.7 million lei as revenues from the production of intangible assets to the 2023 operating revenues. At the same time, the execution of the contract with Distributie Energie Electrica Romania (DEER), in which the company implements its own Bento FSM solution, also plays an essential role in reaching the expected 2023 results.

The targeted 2023 revenue and expense budget is above the one the company’s management presented in the memorandum related to the listing on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange in March 2022. Thus, at the 2023 operating revenue level, the company targets a 46% increase compared to the revenues estimated in the listing memorandum, a 65% increase in EBITDA, and a 58% appreciation in net profit.

Everything we do at Bento is about operational optimization, about automation. From the beginning, this has been our main objective, and we are glad to have the opportunity to present to our shareholders results that confirm both the value and the potential of our services and products. 2023 is a particularly dynamic year for Bento, a year in which we already see the results of the development efforts started following the listing on the stock exchange, a year in which we start a new series of organizational projects but especially the year in which we lay the foundations of several strategic partnerships aimed at ensuring stable business growth. We also continue to capitalize on one of our most important differentiators, operational expertise, representing the foundation of the software products and IT services we deliver. Thus, we are confident in our growth strategy, and we thank our investors for sharing with us this confidence”, stated Vlad Bodea, Member of the Board of Directors and co-founder of Bento.

In 2022, Bento recorded operating revenues of 35.4 million lei, a 26% increase compared to 2021, and a net profit of 5.6 million lei, a 23% increase, in line with revenues. The company is listed on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as of March 16, 2022, being one of the few technology companies in Romania that develop its own software products. The products and solutions provided by Bento are used by local and international companies operating in diverse sectors such as utilities (energy, water, oil, and gas), agriculture, industrial engineering, media, FMCG, insurance, and food manufacturing.
