Enterteq Software, a Romanian startup with expertise in digital transformation, launches the G.U.E.S project – an innovative software platform for planning, monitoring, optimizing, and accounting for carbon emissions.

The project is funded with the support of grants from Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 under the SME Development Programme in Romania and is supported by a grant of EUR 120,000.

G.U.E.S. (Green Upstream Engagement Solution) is an innovative platform that helps companies calculate and manage carbon emissions under Scope 1, 2, and 3 by integrating the business ecosystem into the process and using state-of-the-art technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. In addition to technology, G.U.E.S. offers users an extended model of strategic sustainability management, which includes methods already tested and implemented in the market in terms of reporting obligations, as well as new concepts such as the “green index“, which allows for standardized comparisons between companies, or e-liability, which proposes models for allocating carbon emissions to a company’s services and products.

The project is carried out by a multidisciplinary team of specialists from Enterteq Software and BMF Grup, a market leader in the field of asset and real estate management, and is funded with the support of grants from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 under the SME Development Programme in Romania.

“In the context of heightened climate change concerns, economic development needs to be linked and harmonized with evolving sustainability standards. At the same time, responsibility for environmental impact (including carbon emissions) as well as ethical governance become fundamental components of company performance. Thus, G.U.E.S. was born, a project that allows us to put modern technologies at the service of creating relevant models of strategic management in the field of carbon control and economic ethics for our clients” said Cristina Apahideanu, one of the creators of the concept.

EnterTeq Software LLC is a startup founded in early 2021, formed by a group of experts specialized in AI and digital transformation, with a proprietary methodology for designing and developing IT solutions through iterative knowledge accumulation (https://gues.enterteq.eu )

BMF Grup is one of the leading providers of integrated design and construction, project management, and property and facilities management services in Romania. Established in 2011, the company has doubled its business volume every year in recent years, thanks to its rigorous and detailed procedures, daily commitment to serving clients, and constant commitment to sustainability and sustainable development.

Norwegian and EEA Grants

The EEA and Norway Grants are Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway’s contribution to a green, competitive and inclusive Europe.

There are two overarching objectives: to reduce economic and social disparities in Europe and to strengthen bilateral relations between the donor countries and the 15 EU countries in Central and Southern Europe and the Baltic States. The three donor countries cooperate closely with the EU through the European Economic Area (EEA) agreement. Donors provided €3.3 billion through consecutive grant schemes between 1994 and 2014.

For the period 2014-2021, EEA and Norwegian grants amount to €2.8 billion.
