Datanet Systems, a leading integrator of complex IT systems in Romania and a member of the Soitron group, achieved in 2022 a significant 34% increase in turnover compared to 2021, exceeding 38 million euros. The growth was drive by IT security projects, which contributed 27% of the company’s revenue, encompassing both service and solution sales.

The company also consolidate its activity on traditional business lines, such as IT infrastructure and collaboration, by carrying out extensive projects, both in the private and public sectors. The growth was made possible thanks to investments in people, with the team totalling over 99 Cisco certifications and other specializations from international vendors, as well as through business partnerships concluded with global suppliers such as Juniper, F5, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Splunk, and others. Additionally, the Datanet Software Solutions Division doubled its operational team and expanded the coverage of IT outsourcing services to clients in the western part of the country.

Furthermore, as a result of the Red Dot’s acquisition in 2021, which was later reorganized as Datanet System Cluj, the company attracted new clients from the automotive industry, consulting, and other sectors, with ambitious plans to expand and consolidate its regional presence in the near future.

2022 was a year with many projects developed on innovative technologies, some of the implementations being even national premieres. It is understandable that such projects are possible only with a team that knows what it has to do and masters the technologies, which is achieved over time and with considerable investments in training and certifications. Obviously, the results were proportional, a consistent increase in the turnover, but especially in our level of expertise in a several key areas for the company,” says Dragoș Stroescu, executive director of Datanet Systems.

Throughout 2022, Datanet Systems undertook a number of significant projects for clients in various industries, including finance, banking, healthcare, and public services. Among these, the company played a crucial role in modernizing the data center infrastructure and network for the Romanian Commercial Bank, ensuring geo-resilience between its offices in Bucharest and Vienna. Additionally, from public sector, Datanet Systems contributed to the digitization of Mioveni Hospital by providing networking and data storage solutions, video-collaboration tools, and an application that allows medical equipment information to be collected and consolidated in a portal accessible to medical staff.

Other reference projects for Datanet was the development of Call Center systems with intelligent conversational IVR (Interactive Voice Response), intended to meet the communication needs of ethnic communities in Romania and beyond, for banking and government clients.

For 2023, Datanet Systems aims to maintain its leading position in the solutions market and the status of Cisco’s main partner in Romania. The company also plans to expand its portfolio in the areas of security, cloud, and datacenter by offering available services through the Soitron group. In terms of sales, Datanet will continue to focus on cyber security and IT infrastructure solutions, as well as the associated value-added services.
