ARCHOS launched new devices at IFA 2018, including a children’s smartphone with parental control solutions

ARCHOS, the major European consumer electronics manufacturer, announced the launch of the ARCHOS Access 57. The new smartphone responds to the needs of users who want a device in a robust body with fast, affordable software. ARCHOS Access 57 will be available from October 2018, starting at 79.99 euros.

ARCHOS Access 57 has a 5.7-inch FWVGA + screen with 960×480 resolution in an 18: 9 format for vibrant web, photo and video viewing at any time of the day. For day-to-day tasks, the device is equipped with a quad-core processor with a 1 GB RAM and a 16 GB internal storage capacity, expandable to 64 GB via the Micro SD card.

As for the ARCHOS Access 57 operating system, the terminal runs the Google Android Oreo Go edition with optimized application launch speeds, low-end exclusive versions of included applications, improvements in scanning and deleting storage data, and performance in saving resources, giving users a complete experience with every use of the device.

The new smartphone includes, in a compact body, all the essential features: two cameras, a 8 MP main camera and a front-facing 2 MP camera, and a 2.400 mAh battery for proper use of the device throughout the day. Furthermore, the ARCHOS Access 57 features a wide variety of ports, slots and sensors, including 2 Nano SIM, Bluetooth, GPS, headphone jack and 3D G sensor.

ARCHOS Junior

ARCHOS and QUSTODIO, the world’s most widely used parental control solution, has signed a partnership to design ARCHOS Junior devices. The product range consists of a tablet and smartphone, dedicated to a young audience, providing parents with tools and programs useful for child safety and education. In addition to the optimized hardware configuration, the ARCHOS Junior range includes a QUSTODIO PREMIUM subscription with access to filtered content and complete remote management tools. Thus, parents will be confident that children are constantly safe in the online environment, using their tablet or smartphone in a responsible way.

Children have access to the internet from increasingly younger ages, and parents can feel overwhelmed when they have to choose a tablet or smartphone for them. With the ARCHOS Junior range, parents can now manage their children’s time in front of the screen, protect their children from harmful content and teach them how to surf the Internet in a safer and fun way. Through the QUSTODIO PREMIUM tools, small children will always be safe and constantly focused, while parents have visibility with regard to the use of devices on the Internet, applications or social networks.

The ARCHOS Junior tablet and smartphone includes all the essential items for use by the kids: a quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, which can be extended with a Micro SD card. The tablet and smartphone feature 10.1-inch or 5-inch screens with perfect resolution for web browsing, application usage, or viewing photos or video files. The terminals have a two-camera camera setup, a 4,000 mAh battery, respectively 2,000 mAh, various connection possibilities, and ports and sensors to ensure a high level of comfort both at home and during travel.
