Holcim, a leading building material manufacturer in Romania, expanded its product portfolio by launching the new Performo AAC after making a major investment in its AAC plant in Adjud.

Somaco AAC will be replaced by Performo AAC, a product made using state-of-the-art technology which ensures the high quality of the new product, underlined by its performance and the benefits it provides. The “Art and Precision” technology used to create Performo focuses on the accuracy of dimensions and a superior finish of the surface and edges of the new AAC.

In order to contribute to streamlining and boosting productivity across the construction process, the company also launches the Powerful thermo-insulating masonry system, which is based on Holcim Performo AAC and TectorPlast 130 AAC.

“Holcim is making its contribution to building greener cities, by making investments that would allow the production of building materials that improve energy consumption, reduce the use of resources, have a low impact on nature, and transform buildings into more sustainable spaces. The Performo AAC and the powerful thermo-insulating masonry system created by Holcim are proof of our commitment to transforming our products into solutions that foster the development of the built environment in harmony with nature. We are constantly making investments, developing and launching new products, to make sure our customers are certain of the performance and sustainability of our products”, declared Bogdan Dobre, CEO Holcim Romania and Market Head Moldova.

With its features, Performo AAC contributes to enhancing energy efficiency and soundproofing, is easy to use, cost-efficient, fire-proof, sustainable and environment-friendly, while also contributing to reducing our CO2 footprint.

This year, under a new visual identity, Holcim also launched a construction decarbonization model, built on four pillars, from sustainable operations, to stimulating circular economy throughout the construction flow, after launching in March another product which is part of the company’s vision to become more sustainable, called ECOPlanet PLUS, a bagged high-performance concrete with additives and reduced CO2 emissions.
