The PR agency Chapter 4 Romania announces the creation of a team dedicated to clients who need support for identifying needs and communicating CSR and ESG (Environment, Society and Corporate Governance) actions, in the context in which the reporting of companies’ measures of compliance with ESG standards will become mandatory in the coming years.

The new department will be called Social Purpose & ESG Communication (Prezență în Comunitate și Comunicare ESG) and will be led by Teia Ene, a public relations consultant with valuable experience in creating strategies and coordinating corporate communication and CSR campaigns for organizations from various industries. Teia is an Advanced Certified Sustainability (ESG) Practitioner certified by the Center for Sustainability And Excellence (CSE) and a doctor in applied ethics at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Bucharest, with skills in consultancy, research & analysis of sustainable development measures.

“If 12 years ago CSR and sustainability communication was just a nice-to-have, today it has become a must-have, especially for companies that have an impact on society. All of us, and especially young people, have become much more aware of the need for a real involvement of companies in the prevention of climate change and social inequities, a phenomenon that also has an impact on employees’ decision to work for a certain company. At Chapter 4 Romania, we implemented our own actions to comply with ESG standards ahead of time, because we strongly believe in these values. We are happy to be able to offer our clients the necessary experience, knowledge, and coherence in addressing this area of communication, which is of such importance for society,” said Raluca Rotaru, Managing Director Chapter 4 Romania.

The department dedicated to social responsibility and ESG is the third structural department of PR consulting agency Chapter 4 Romania, an agency specialized in Corporate and B2B (Business-to-Business) communication for companies in special or niche industries such as IT&C, Agriculture, Manufacturing or Energy. In addition to the department serving this main purpose, the agency also has a solid Brand and B2C (Business-to-Consumer) communication department.

“Teia’s expertise and certifications add the necessary strategic layer to any company that wants to honestly and genuinely engage in the life of the community. In this way, companies maintain their relevance as a business and channel respect for the entire environment in which they operate, especially in terms of complying with mandatory ESG standards,” she adds.

Together, the teams of the 3 departments are specialized in services related to press relations, social media (with an emphasis on communication in the LinkedIn network), content creation (for websites & online platforms, newsletters, white papers, e-books, etc.), market & competition intelligence, employer branding, crisis communication, as well as image building training in the media or on LinkedIn.

“Communication and sustainability are two strongly interconnected fields, boths based on a set of common standards in terms of responsibility and operational transparency. We are here to help people in companies find their social engagement compass and effectively communicate the activities in which they choose to invest. From assisting in the process of complying with ESG standards, creating their communication strategy and implementing their own actions, to preparing the annual sustainability report, our team is ready to become their long-term partner in an impactful journey, for which we will all be beneficiaries, said Teia Ene, Senior PR & ESG Manager Chapter 4 Romania.
