Casiana Fometescu, Carbon Expert, joins Business Review’s Environmental & Sustainability Summit 2022

Casiana Fometescu, a CO2 International Consultant and Founder of Carbon Expert and Restart Energy Democracy Carbon Standard Partner, will be a speaker in the first panel of day 2 at Environmental & Sustainability Summit 2022, dedicated to CO2 emission targets and renewable energy.


Casiana Fometescu is a consultant on the carbon and energy markets on issues related to greenhouse gas emissions energy efficiency projects with an experience of more than twelve years on the international carbon markets. She is a consultant for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), participating in various meetings and working groups at international levels, such as International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), and Climate Markets & Investment Association (CMIA), Copa Cogeca European Agri Cooperatives. Casiana Fometescu is also the President of the Romanian Carbon Association and holds a Ph.D. in Economics.

The Restart Energy Democracy (RED) Platform has developed the first blockchain-based CO2 offset and sustainability system that allows any company or individual to completely neutralize their carbon footprint while providing a new and reliable marketplace for renewable energy producers and other green project developments.

“Our carbon standard aims at empowering people and giving value to their sustainable work in all fields of the economy that mitigate the impact of climate change. In a world where global players take the lead over national governments, and governments would like to centralize the power in their hands, we aim to be closer to communities, people, and local project developers, and provide them with financing means in the form of tokenized carbon credits and NFTs.  We also offer them a blockchain platform to help them sell these carbon units worldwide.” Says Casiana Fometescu.
