The Chile Republic Embassy presents at Instituto Cervantes five of the Chilean movies that have won Oscars or Goya awards. The films have as a central theme marginal characters in extreme situations. The projections will take place this weekend, January 25-27, at Instituto Cervantes in Spanish with English subtitles. The entry is free of charge.

Friday, January 25, 19.00: LOS DEBUTANTES (Chile 2003, 115 minutes), director: Andrés Waissbluth. Audience under 16 years not recommended.
Saturday, January 26, 18.00: JOHNY CIEN PESOS (Chile, Mexico, United States 1993, 90 minutes), official selection for Oscars and Goya awards, director: Gustavo Graef-Marino. Audience under 14 years not recommended.
Saturday, January 26, 20.00: MALA LECHE (Chile, 2004, 101 minutes), awarded with “Horizonte” at San Sebastian International Film Festival, director: León Errazuriz
Sunday, January 27, 18.00: CALUGA O MENTA (EL NIKKI) (Chile – Spain, 1990, 103 minutes), director: Gonzalo Justiniano. Audience under 15 years not recommended.
Sunday, January 27, 20.00: AZÚL Y BLANCO (Chile, 2004, 85 minutes), director: Sebastián Araya.
