The B’Estfest list of headliners has just added a new name: break-beat duo straight out of Britain, Stanton Warriors, which combine electro, hip-hop and underground sounds. “It’s all blended into a melting pot of low down booty electro punkishness,” they say.
Stanton Warriors are DJ Dominic Butler and producer Mark Yardley, having been around since 2001, when the kicked off their Stanton Sessions’ that was instantly signed to XL Recordings.
“Stanton Sessions went on to become the biggest selling breaks album of all time,” according to the band’s MySpace page.
They have done remixes for Missy Elliot, Fat Boy Slim, Basement Jaxx, Mylo, Freeform Five, and Busta Rhymes, having been included by DJ Mag in the list of the ‘50 Best Remixers of All Time.’
The duo now play sets at nightclubs such as Fabric and Ciros in the UK, and travel the globe with international work in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
B’Estfest will take place between July 6-8 at the B’Estfest Summer Camp.
