Transaction: The joint-venture formed by the US-based hotel management company Highgate Hotels LP and Goldman Sachs acquired 4 hotels (in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania) from Austrian K&K Hotel Group

Legal team seller: Allen & Overy

Description: US-based hotel management company Highgate Hotels LP and Goldman Sachs took over a hotel portfolio from the Austrian K&K Hotel Group. Closing took place on December 1st 2015. By way of this transaction, Highgate Hotels LP, along with Goldman Sachs has also acquired 4 hotels in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania, which belong to the Austrian K&K Hotel Group.

 

Transaction: Orbis Hotel Group acquires hotel businesses from Accor

Value of transaction: EUR 142.3 million

Legal team buyer: Schoenherr

Legal team seller: Dentons

Description: Orbis Hotel Group, the largest hotel group in Poland and Central Europe, has acquired 46 hotel properties in six countries across Central Europe from Accor: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.

Transaction: Amrest Holding SE takes over companies operating Starbucks coffee shops in Romania and Bulgaria

Legal team seller: N/A

Description: Amrest Holdings took over 2 companies operating Starbucks coffee shops in Romania (14) and Bulgaria (5) from Marinopoulos Coffee Company III SRL.
