The “Passage to the Future: Art from a New Generation in Japan” exhibition is on display at the National Museum of Contemporary Art (MNAC) until February 28. Thanks to the Embassy of Japan in Romania and the Japan Foundation, the best known Japanese artists of the moment, Atsushi Fukui, Satoshi Hirose, Maywa Denki, Tomoyasu Murata, Tetsuya Nakamura, Katsuhiro Saiki, Masafumi Sanai, Yoshihiro Suda, Tabaimo, Nobuyuki Takahashi and Miyuki Yokomizo bring to Romania 42 works on display, comprising paintings, photographs, video art, installations, animation films.
The exhibition tries to present the most varied aspects of the Japanese artistic landscape of the last twenty years. The project presenting the new generation of Japanese artists is shown in Romania for the first time, after having been exhibited in over 20 countries. The exhibit is open at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Wed to Sun, from 10.00-18.00.
