Teraplast hopes for 2008 profitability despite crisis

Teraplast Bistrita, which includes Teraplast, Plastisistem and Politub, was influenced by the fiscal facility of accelerated amortization, which is the 50 percent deduction of profit tax in the first year. The group's turnover grew by 27 percent to EUR 55.7 million on the same period of 2007. Its revenues in the first nine months of the year reached EUR 59.6 million, up 30 percent on 2007. The company had previously announced investments of EUR 24.2 million for this year, which will mainly go into an industrial park in Bistrita, to where the company will relocate its production facilities.
The group's biggest company, Teraplast SA, is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
