Austrian Sparkassen Immobilien and EMCT, which are developing the EUR 200 million mall in partnership, have leased over 85 percent of the project, which will provide over 110,000 sqm of retail and office space. The mall will be anchored by a Cora hypermarket, Baumax DIY store, Mobexpert furniture store and Cinema City multiplex. C&A, GAP, Marks & Spencer, Douglas, Sephora, Promod, Orsay, Imaginarium, Motivi and Deichmann have also agreed to take space in the site.
The compound will also include an 8,300-sqm office building in a later phase, according to previous information. In May this year, the company announced that the main retail anchor of Sun Plaza, Cora hypermarket, set to cover 23,000 sqm, was to start fit-out works on its store in June. Sparkassen Immobilien saw its revenues rise by 5.9 percent in the first half of this year compared to the previous, to EUR 57.3 million, of which its rental income was EUR 44.7 million. Sparkassen Immobilien is Erste Bank's real estate arm.
