“The Romanian activities are a significant and growing part of the REAS CEE Desk activities, hence we intend to develop our Romanian operations further both in terms of number of projects and cities covered and also tailor-cut products meeting the current and future market demand,” said Iwanowska.
The company's core business is residential projects, although it includes a growing ratio of mixed-use developments in Poland. However, REAS's operations in Romania are growing, with 40 project studies completed during the last 12 months in eight local cities, according to the company representative.
“At the moment, the most highly sought after services are individual new residential development project studies – feasibility, project mixes, master plan assessments, architectural commentaries, as well as land valuations and micro and macro market research studies,” Iwanowska added.
The company entered the Romanian market mid-last year following some of its clients in Poland which expanded activities in Romania. The company has a local consultant leader and a group of cooperating partners, and its project teams travel to Romania on project assignments several times every month. REAS's consultant in Romania is Nicusor Dinu. In Poland, the company works with investors such as ING Real Estate, Lehman Brothers, GE Real Estate and Orco Property Group.
