Cosmopolis will reach the threshold of 15,000 inhabitants by the end of this year

With almost 15,000 inhabitants, the community of the Cosmopolis neighborhood is comparable to the population of the cities of Rasnov or Vatra Dornei and includes a larger number of residents than the cities of Otopeni, Sinaia or Gura Humorului.

 

“The interest in all the facilities offered by Cosmopolis can be seen in the number of residents, increasing significantly over the year. In the last 2 years alone, we have registered 3,000 new residents in the neighbourhood. Reaching the threshold of 15,000 inhabitants is proof that all our development plans over our 15 years of existence has adapted well to the wishes and needs of the market. This year we are coming with something extra for our community, but also for all the residents of the Northern area of the Capital. We are expanding Cosmopolis Plaza up to 20,000 square meters and are subsequently creating the most extensive retail park in the North of Bucharest,” says Ozan Tuncer, CEO of Cosmopolis.

The Cosmopolis Plaza expansion work, which began last summer, is nearing completion. Starting in the middle of June, the process of handing over the spaces to the tenants, for setting up the shops, will start. There will be more than 70 stores, with both national and international brands, and this will turn Cosmopolis Plaza into a main shopping destination for the entire Northern area of the Capital, for the Tunari area, all the neighboring towns, not only for Cosmopolis residents.

The stores in Cosmopolis Plaza will have generous spaces and will cover all interests. Among the biggest brands we can announce publicly at the moment are: Jysk, Animax, Pepco, Spartan, Sinsay, Tedi, Kik and Dr Max.

Cosmopolis Plaza is an experience in itself

Cosmopolis Plaza will offer to its customers, more than 70 stores, 340 parking spaces, and a Sweat wellness club will be set up within the project, which, with an area of 2,500 square meters, will be the largest center in the company’s national network. It will also include an indoor swimming pool, the first in the Cosmopolis neighborhood.

Access to Cosmopolis Plaza will be possible in 3 different ways for customers living outside the residential complex: direct access from the Bucharest Ring Road (Centura Bucuresti), the entrance from Tunari (which is currently being worked on) and in the near future direct access from the A3 highway.

Approximately 20 million euros is the investment that Opus Land Development has allocated for the expansion of Cosmopolis Plaza.

For Cosmopolis residents, 5 ulterior outdoor swimming pools will be inaugurated this month, bringing the total number of outdoor swimming pools in Cosmopolis to 52.

“Through the expansion plans for Cosmopolis, we will also complete another 500 new homes in 2023. There will be both apartments and villas, and according to our projections, Cosmopolis will reach a total of approximately 5,600 homes completed and sold by the end of this year. For all the development plans we have this year, 50 million Euros have been budgeted. This is the highest annual investment allocated by Opus Land Development since the start of construction of the project in 2007”, announced Ozan Tuncer, CEO of Cosmopolis 

Between 2007 and 2023, the investment in the Cosmopolis neighborhood has totalled 430 million Euros, which represents one of the largest investments in a real estate project in Romania, regardless of the market segment or area.

Cosmopolis’ expansion plans continue for years to come. By 2035, the developer estimates a total of over 12,000 homes and a community of over 35,000 people.

The community will end up being comparable to that of cities such as Câmpina, Câmpulung Muscel, Sighisoara or Curtea de Argeș.
