Boemia Apartments, the boutique residential complex located at 125 Mărășești Boulevard, has been awarded the 2023 Architecture Prize in the Residential Housing in Romania category at the international BigSEE competition in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The BIG SEE Awards ceremony took place on May 19th in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The project, developed by Prima Development Group and designed by STARH Architects, was appreciated by the festival’s jury for the way it restored and highlighted the “poetry” of a typical interwar Bucharest residential complex. Without ostentation, in a subtle manner – as stated by the representatives of the international competition – the building was constructed with a modern vision, featuring spacious and comfortable rooms, large terraces, and communal or individual gardens, creatively utilizing every square meter of the construction.

Prima Development’s residential project, which marked the company’s debut in the Bucharest market, promotes the concept of “neoboem”, which offers the ensemble  a distinct personality in the architectural landscape of the city. The boutique-style ensemble has a low height structure (2 underground spaces, ground floor and 5 storeys) and comprises a total of 75 apartments, ranging from 2 to 3 rooms, as well as duplexes. Attention to the smallest details, intelligent compartmentalization, and the Smart Home range of amenities in each apartment create a perfect balance between cutting-edge technologies serving comfort and sustainability. Last but not least, the harmonious design, complementing all these features, was highly appreciated at the BigSEE festival, which recognizes excellence in architecture and interior design.

Furthermore, Boemia Apartments, which is currently completely sold out and handed over to the owners, has already won other international awards. In 2019, the ensemble was honoured with the Best Architecture Multiple Residence Romania award at the European Property Awards 2019. Core Timpuri Noi, another project developed by Prima Development Group in Bucharest, has also been internationally awarded at prestigious competitions in the field.

“Winning the 2023 Architecture Prize with Boemia Apartments represents an international recognition of Prima’s way of building – with attention to details that make life more comfortable and enjoyable, resilient over time, and with personality. Finding the perfect balance between practicality and artistry so that they happily complement each other is not one of the easiest missions we have undertaken, and the award from Ljubljana proves that our intention has been well executed. We are proud of the recognition received at this international competition, an acknowledgement for the entire Prima Development team”, says Adrian Stoichină, COO of Prima Development Group.

The Oradea-based developer, which is one of the largest national real estate developers in the residential sector in terms of the number of units delivered annually, is now also present with new projects in the northern area of Bucharest. The construction of a large-scale complex, PRIMA Vista, with 482 apartments, was initiated at the end of last year, and the first phase of the project will be completed in the following spring.
