Ramada center expects up to EUR 10 million in yearly turnover

“Our business target is an occupancy range of 60 percent during the first year and 70 percent in the second year. Ramada Plaza Bucharest Convention Center is part of Wyndham Group's plans to open 500 Ramada units outside the US by the end of 2008,” said Daniel Ben-Yehuda, general director of Ramada Plaza.
“In terms of financial expectations, we expect the total yearly turnover to be between EUR 7 to 10 million for the new Ramada Plaza in Bucharest,” added Ben-Yehuda. According to hotel officials, the convention center project will be the subject of further developments. “We're planning for the next three years the development of a multimedia conference center with a capacity of 1,500 guests,” said Elena Mesina, director of marketing and sales at Ramada Plaza.
The Romanian hotel company also manages Best Western Parc Hotel, Ramada Plaza Hotel, Parc Event Center conference complex, Club Parc health center and Casa Doina restaurant. Located near Romexpo business center, the new Ramada Plaza Center has 300 rooms on 14,100 sqm, a business lounge and business center, two food and beverage units, a coffee shop and international restaurant and two conference rooms with a total capacity of 100 guests, according to the company.
The Ramada brand is represented in Romania through Trend Hospitality, the local partner for the expansion of Wyndham's US hotel chain.
In Romania, the Wyndham chain is present with the five-star Howard Johnson Grand Plaza hotel in Bucharest and the Ramada hotels, one in Sibiu and four in Bucharest.
