Profi to re-brand Albinuta stores

Company representatives didn’t rule out the possibility to buy other retail chains as well.
Profi Rom Food, operator of the Profi chain in Romania, controls a network of 37 Profi stores in Romania and the nine Albinuta supermarkets. The company plans to open at least ten new stores in 2008, of which four in Bucharest, Focsani, Slatina and Targu-Mures. The company registered EUR 110 million in turnover and plans to reach EUR 140 million this year. Louis Delhaize also controls the Cora hypermarket chain in Romania.
