Porr’s projects in the region are worth a total of EUR 70 million. The remainder will be covered by loans from banks in the countries where Porr will build projects. The Austrian company will work on several small real estate projects and build waste management units in several SEE countries in the next two years. The IFC’s board will come to a decision regarding the loan in March.
Porr has been active in Romania since 2004. It built Hella Electronic in Timisoara and the Egger factory in Suceava. It is held by B&C Baubeteiligungs GmbH with 45.5 percent of the shares, Ortner Group with 29.4 percent, insurer Wiener Stadtische Versicherung, with 10.1 percent, and utility company Wiener Stadtwerke Holding, with another 4.1 percent. The rest of the shares are floating on the Vienna Stock Exchange.
