Croatian company Pet Centar, which sells pet food and accessories, has rented 1,065 sqm of storage space in Mega Center through a five-year lease contract, King Sturge Bucharest has announced. The park is located at the junction of the A1 Bucharest-Pitesti highway and the west Bucharest ring road.
The 25,000-sqm Mega Center warehouse project was built by Mega Company Import-Export. It also includes 4,000 sqm of office space. The warehouse facility includes tenants such as Dr. Oetker, DB Schenker, Sika, Dohler, Top Birotica and Augsburg.
The vacancy rate for the industrial segment in Romania is at 12 percent and will increase to 14 percent in 2010, due to tenants expected to downsize. The most notable transaction in Romania last year was the leasing of 30,000 sqm by Unilever, according to King Sturge Romania, which represents the owner of the warehouse project, Alinso Europe.
