Oregon Park, one of the largest and most sustainable office projects in Romania, owned by the Lion’s Head investment fund, achieved the Well Health & Safety certification, granted by The International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). The certification recognizes the implementation of measures that ensure a work environment with a positive impact over the health and well-being of employees.

The certification process was coordinated by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox’s Project Management department.

The WELL Health-Safety standard is the newest building assessment system introduced by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) which overlooks the implementation of measures that improve the conditions offered by office spaces in terms of air quality, water, lightning, thermal comfort, sound, used materials, community actions and initiatives, etc. Through this project, Oregon Park provides office spaces which help tenants attract and retain talent within the company while also creating an environment conducive to increased productivity. Moreover, by implementing this project, Lion’s Head has also aimed to enhance the overall ESG performance of the office complex,” says Andrei Ianculescu, Head of Project Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.

Oregon Park is a premium A – class office project consisting of three 6floor buildings which provide more than 70,000 sq. m of modern office spaces surrounded by an attractively landscaped land plot of nearly 4 ha. It is located in the Floreasca Barbu Vacarescu office submarket, one of the most prestigious business hubs in Bucharest, which has constantly attracted a series of international blue – chip tenants.

The project owned by Lion’s Head has made a genuine commitment to sustainability through the use of Zero Carbon technologies, energy efficient building systems and recyclable materials.

Lion’s Head’s recent experience has transformed its regional and local strategies through Oregon Park, evolving from being a provider of spaces to becoming a provider of services for our partners, whom we do not consider as simply customers. Achieving the WELL standard is the confirmation of this direction, signifying that we no longer offer traditional desk and chair spaces but instead provide an intelligent and efficient mix of services and technologies tailored to the needs of those operating within our buildings. This includes creating and maintaining a strong community, fostering business opportunities and networking, and offering multifunctional spaces,” adds Alina Necula, Country Manager România Lion’s Head.

Cushman & Wakefield Echinox’s Project Management department provides a wide range of construction services, namely the management, coordination, and supervision of fit-out projects (office, retail, residential, mixed-use, industrial and logistics) together with the design team, consultants and entrepreneurs for all the main stages of the project.

In recent years, the needs of both tenants and landlords have significantly evolved, with an increasing emphasis on building certifications according to different standards such as Health and Safety, BREEAM, LEED or WELL. In this regard, the Project Management department has offeredconsultancy services for achieving these certifications related to both office projects and industrial parks.
