The West Gate business park, located in west Bucharest and owned by Genesis Property, has signed the seventh consecutive extension to the office space leasing contract with Societe Generale European Business Services (SG EBS), which will be valid until 2025. With the new extension, the company’s leased surface will increase by 2,600 sqm and will reach a total of 19,500 sqm.

“We will continue to develop our operations in Romania and therefore expand our offices in West Gate by another 2,600 sqm. Currently, about 2,000 employees work in our offices, and the expansion will allow us to increase this number in the future. The quality of the services offered and the good collaboration regarding our need to continuously develop led to the long-term consolidation of our partnership with West Gate,” said Thierry Blain, the COO of Societe Generale European Business Services.

The contract between Genesis Property and SG EBS for the new space came into effect at the beginning of May 2019.

“In 2012, the surface leased by the French company was 2,600 sqm of offices. In the past 7 years, the surface increased by more than 7 times, now totaling 19,500 sqm. Our common objective – that of consolidating SG EBS’s operations in a single, exclusive building – has almost been achieved,” said Stefan Tudos, the vice president of Genesis Property.

“Through this extension, we are able to offer the development flexibility the tenant expects from us and also to maintain the occupation rate of West Gate at 100 percent. Genesis remains focused on offering integrated services for multinational companies that need modern offices for their employees. We continue to invest in the diversification of the services we offer, in developing our business communities and delivering memorable experiences to our tenants’ employees,” said Liviu Tudor, the president and founder of Genesis Property.

West Gate Business Park is located in the Militari neighbourhood in west Bucharest and includes 5 class A buildings, the largest private student campus in Romania, a four-star accommodation unit, and 15,000 sqm of green spaces. Besides SG EBS, other companies that lease office spaces in West Gate are Siemens, Accenture, Ericsson, WNS, Citi, Alpha Bank, Carestream Health, Carestream Dental and Medicover.
