RE/MAX Romania, part of the global leader in real-estate and the number one franchise on this segment, announced the expansion of their Romanian network to 25 offices. The most recent franchises in the company’s portfolio are RE/MAX Home Connection, RE/MAX Magnum in Bucharest and RE/MAX Smart in Satu-Mare.

RE/MAX Home Connection, the newest office in Bucharest which will become operational in March, was opened by Cristina Warinschi and her partner, Dan Danaila, beginners in the real estate field. The entrepreneurs chose to acquire the commercial space for the new RE/MAX office, thus starting their new business with a profitable real estate investment.

RE/MAX Smart, operational since January in Satu-Mare, is owned by Nicolae Varga and involved an investment of around EUR 5,000 until now, to which the office branding costs will be added. Currently, in the RE/MAX Smart office there is a 5-person team, and the founder plans to recruit ten agents for the next six months.

According to a RE/MAX Smart representative, Satu-Mare and the surrounding areas are becoming more and more attractive from a real estate point of view, which can be seen in the dynamic and value of recent transactions made in the city. For example, the average prices are EUR 600/sqm for apartments, EUR 500/sqm for houses and EUR 45/sqm per land. Most residential transactions are between EUR 35-65,000. For rentals, the price reaches EUR 5/sqm for residential and EUR 10/sqm for active area spaces.

At the beginning of this year, RE/MAX Magnum in Bucharest also entered the company’s franchise portfolio. It is owned by Catalin Cornescu in association with Andrei Marinescu. The office has been operational since January and currently includes 16 agents, and it will focus on sale representation for real estate projects.

Last year, RE/MAX brokered over 1,500 real estate transactions, a 50 percent growth from 2016, and generated commissions of over EUR 2 million – a 30 percent growth from the previous year.
