250,000 sqm of office fit out delivered in Romania.

Globalworth, the largest investor in CEE and the leader of the office market in Romania, announces over 250,000 square meters of office fit out delivered since the company’s existence to date. In total, 50 tenants from Globalworth’s portfolio have benefited from fit-out in 12 out of the 16 buildings in Romania.

The fit outs were carried out either simultaneously with the development of the building and the tenants occupied the spaces once the building was completed or for tenants in existing buildings, developed or purchased by Globalworth. The fit outs targeted customers from IT&C field, banking services, law firms, advertising, courier services, co-working spaces, TV studio, etc.

We have gone through many stages, and currently we are focusing more and more on smart building concepts (PropTech solutions, monitoring and control systems for functional parameters that support our sustainability goals), flexible offices that accommodate co-working & encourage the well-being of the employees. After the pandemics, the tenants’ requirements have been significantly changed in terms of employees’ comfort at the office. Now we are developing more and more informal working areas, team collaboration areas, amphitheatres, cafes, relaxation areas. In our fit outs, we use vivid colours, warm textures, light. In other words, the office space is starting to look more and more like the home space and is built to bring people together, after a break in which we sorely missed physical presence”, said Raluca Ghica, Head of Globalworth Workplaces Romania.

The strategy of offering fit-out services to the tenants provides the real estate player with a real advantage in the market. Each space is tailored to the tenants’ activity, complying with its functional and organizational requirements. In the fit-out process, the company’s branding, image, internal policy and everything related to its dynamics are being respected. The integration of the nature in the work space, also known as the biophilic office design, is currently a priority, which, together with the various PropTech solutions, have contributed to obtaining 47 ESG-related certifications for the Romanian office buildings portfolio in 2022.
