The 32,000-sqm shopping mall will include 100 shops, a large format supermarket, a food court and a multiplex cinema. The shopping mall will feature 15,000 sqm of leasable area. The project will be opened in April next year, and negotiations for leasing it are at an advanced stage, according to NAI. The project is already under construction. It will be built on four floors above the ground and two underground.
Moldova Universal has already built Moldova Mall in Iasi, which was sold to investment fund Equest, three residential projects in Iasi and one in Botosani, according to the developer. Moldova Mall was sold in 2006 for EUR 34.5 million.
Moldova Universal is owned by Iasi-based businessman Danut Prisecariu. He holds businesses in real estate and the media in Iasi and in other cities in the Moldavian part of Romania.
