Lindab Romania is relocating its Sibiu metallic tiles production facilities to its Stefanestii de Jos plant in Ilfov county, in a move to make its local operations more efficient. The Sibiu location will be kept as a logistics center to better coordinate the firm’s deliveries in the Transylvania area. The process is due to be completed by the end of May.
The move also means that 22 employees will be laid off. The company says it will provide them with social support and help in finding a new job. Lindab Romania entered the local market in 1994. In 2009 it merged with Rova Romania. The Rova brand is kept as a distinct brand, integrated in the Lindab portfolio.
