For this year, Holcim Romania has budgeted investments of EUR 135 million after having invested EUR 123 million in 2007.
Its investment plans for 2008 consist of modernization works, plus the construction of two new cement production facilities and the expansion of the company's fleet of trucks.
Holcim is also planning investments in building a power unit designed for internal consumption, which it aims to do within five years. In Romania, Holcim owns 16 concrete production stations, five aggregates stations and three cement production stations in Turda, Campulung and Alesd.
