Forty Management announced that it has partnered with Constantin Popovici, European high diving champion, multiple world cup winner and Red Bull Cliff Diving rounds winner. The partnership complements the #FortyWatersAndBeyond concept, brought by the new urban reconversion Central District Lagoon City, which has just been launched in Bucharest.

Central District Lagoon City is a mixed-use mini-city (hotel, commercial, residential and office) implementing the US Crystal Lagoons patent, which allows for the construction of virtually infinitely large artificial lagoons with very low maintenance costs. The artificial lagoon in the Central District Lagoon City Bucharest will have 10,000 sqm of crystal clear turquoise water and 3,200 sqm of sandy beaches.

Cliff diving is an elite extreme sport and the ultimate display of focus and skill. In the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, 12 men and 12 women compete at every event to earn maximum championship points. Launching from a platform height of 27m for male divers and 21m for female competitors, each diver is judged by a panel on their acrobatics and artistic moves during the dive. At the end of every season a champion is crowned and awarded the coveted King Kahekili trophy, as well as a winner’s prize fund. Constantin Popovici won two Red Bull Cliff Diving rounds and in 2022 he became European high-diving champion.

This year’s competition calendar includes spectacular destinations around the world, such as Boston (USA), Paris (France), Polignano a Mare (Italy), Miyazaki (Japan), Stockholm (Sweden), Mostar (Bosnia Herzegovina), Auckland (New Zealand), where the world’s best cliff-diving athletes, including Constantin Popovici, will compete.

“I am delighted that Forty Management has chosen to support my work and I am sure that this will contribute, along with the performances I aim for, to the popularization of this extreme sport in Romania and around the world. The partnership with Central District Lagoon City illustrates all the values we share: innovation, performance, courage, hard work,” said Constantin Popovici.

„I am very enthusiastic that such a special athlete has chosen to be an ambassador for Central District Lagoon City and the innovative and sustainable projects we are developing in Romania and across the region. We want to promote excellence and have been very impressed by Constantin’s passion, dedication and performance. We therefore have a strong motivation to support his efforts, especially given the extraordinary results he has achieved in competitions around the world in relation to what we love the most: water”, added Lucian Azoiței, Forty Management’s CEO.

Recently, the company started the works for developing Central District Lagoon City in Bucharest, the most innovative, self-sustainable, mixed-use urban reconversion project, unique in Central and Eastern Europe. The project will implement for the first time in Eastern Europe the patented Crystal Lagoons® technology, which enables the construction and maintenance of energy-efficient, unlimited-sized artificial turquoise water lagoons. It will cover an area of more than 10,000 sqm, have a maximum depth of 2 meters, two large beaches of over 3,200 sqm and numerous other facilities. Lagoon City will bring around this artificial lagoon a 323-room 5* hotel affiliated to an international brand, 401 apartments for rent, 9,200 sqm of commercial and service space, an 8,500 sqm class A office building and other facilities.
