According to Johannes Rudnay, managing director of Eyemaxx Real Estate, Romania lacks logistic spaces, especially outside Bucharest. The first development stage for the logistic center will bring 14,500 sqm of warehouses and 1,445 sqm of office space, to be completed by yearend. Eyemaxx also signed agreements for building logistic centers under the Log Center brand in five other Romanian cities: Brasov, Cluj, Bacau, Constanta and Craiova. The developer plans a network of 10 local logistic and industrial projects in Romania with a total investment of EUR 500 million. Eyemaxx also has ongoing retail projects such as the development of a mall at Targu Jiu to be completed in 2010, while the logistic projects are estimated to be completed by 2011. The mall will require a EUR 50 million investment and it will be built on a 1.7-hectare plot in the city, near Interex and Kaufland. It will host tenants such as Domo, Leonardo, Centrofarm, B&B Collection, Optiplaza, Jolidon, Caffe Mozart, Darcom, Bowling & Billiard, Simulators, and Casino.The developer plans to build the projects with its partner Austrian investment fund Immoeast. The developer is also building warehouse facilities under the Log Center brand in Slovakia.
